My Breaking Point

I had just started the car to go to the store and I froze.

Where was the grocery store? How do I get there? Wait, how do I get out of the neighborhood again?

My mind was completely blank, like those dreams where you're in school and you can't remember to take the test.

It was terrifying. What was happening to me?

For years I pushed through raising 5 children, homeschooling, dealing with the fallout of traumatic life experiences, financial stress, other people's drama, and finally my mind and my body said, "NO MORE"!

Here's the problem:

I had a business, I was actively homeschooling my children, I still had to feed the family, and I was very active in my church and community. I wasn't in a place where I could say

STOP.

I had to figure out a way to both care for myself and still take care of my family and do what I felt God was calling me to do.

I was completely out of juice. DONE.

I cut back on some things, but most of the things on my plate had to stay there (tempting as it was to ship off the kids!)
